Hello Bikers, I am Shubham Shirkande from Sangli here to tell a story of restoration of a bike and restoration of memories with the bike which has served my Dad for over 20 years.

My Bike: Hero Honda CD100ss
Model: 1996

• About the Bike

This bike entered the Indian market in 1986. During the years 1986 and 1987, engine parts were imported from Japan and were assembled in India by Hero Honda. This new model i.e. CD100ss was launched in 1991.My Dad purchased this bike in 1996.

• Initial Stages of Restoration

Initially the bike looked like this

• In workshop

•  While Dismantling

• Safe removal of all delicate parts and monogram

• Paintjob by the hands of Painter Mahavir Uncle

• Zinc plating of each and every nutbolt

• Slight modification in the Seat, Spokes, Handle Bar and Headlight

• Designing into a New Avatar
